It was a dark and storm night...

When the tree branches swayed in the wind they creaked and groaned like the old timbers that made up the house.

The old man sat at his kitchen nook watching the wind chimes as they rang out their cacophony, flailing in the wind like wisps of smoke.

Suddenly the apparition glistened before him, sparkling with green light

At first he thought it was a fairy, and not just any fairy, but the green fairy herself,

but as the apparition became clear, it astonished him.

🐸

A frog? How can there be the face of a frog hovering in the air just outside my window, he wondered.

Then came the thundering voice:

I am the Lord They Frog, and thou shalt have no other Frogs before me.

But, but, the man muttered, the fear gripping him...I don't believe in a frog like that, no nothing of the sort.

And he pulled down the window shade, and dumped out the rest of his glass of wine.

Strange things happened when you sat there staring out into a dark and storm night.

He'd had enough of it.
